The European Tour and DP World were both established in 1972 and developed into global enterprises with DP World headquartered in Dubai. DP World became an Official Partner of the European Tour in 2015, and they have now become the Official Title Partner of the revised World Tour from the start of the 2022 season, which kicked off with the Joburg Open in South Africa in November 2021. Big Names like Collin Morikawa, who won the 2021 Open Championship, Rory McIlroy and previous tournament champions Lee Westwood (2020), Tyrrell Hatton (2021), and two-time Champion Tommy Fleetwood (2017, 2018) are included in the line-up.
